The D8 Creative Arts Summer Project (D8|CASP) is a rotating Creative Arts Project for young
people
aged 5-12 years living in the Dublin 8 area. Applications from those living outside the area will
be considered subject to the availability of places.

This is the project's fourth year in operation and we're
delighted to be in a position to offer such a
diversity of activities, which we hope will coninue to appeal to a wide range of ages and interests!
The project will run over 2 weeks from 20th - 31st July 2009, with 3 age groups each week :
5-6 yrs, 7-8 yrs and 9-12 yrs. Each project session runs from 10am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday.

Group sizes are limited to 15, and there'll be 3 different age Groups : therefore there'll be a maximum
of 45 young people attending the project each week.
It's a quality, not quantity philosophy!

The primary aim of the project is to expose young people to various aspects of the Creative Arts -
Music, Dance, Drama and Arts & Crafts. Optional Movie-Making Workshops will also be on offer
for the 2 older age groups this year! We'll also be going on a trip to IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art)
for a Guided Tour of the Exhibitions, and of course there's the end-of-project Show which takes place
each Friday - an opportunity to showcase all the goings-on over the course of the week.
It promises to be action-packed!

Each member of the Project Team  is actively involved in the area that they teach, so they know what they're
talking about and have a passion for what they do!
