The D8 Creative Arts Summer Project (D8CASP) is a rotating Creative Arts Project for young people aged 5-12 years living in the Dublin 8 area. Applications from those living outside the area will be considered subject to the availability of places.
This is the project's sixth year in operation and we're delighted to be in a position to continue to offer such a diversity of activities, which we hope will appeal to a wide range of ages and interests! The primary aim of the project is to expose young people to various aspects of the Creative Arts ::
Drama, Movie-making, Drum Workshops, Dance, Fashion-Design, Creative Writing, Arts & Crafts, Clay Modelling, Painting Workshops, Singing, Basic Music Theory, Sound recording and more!
Then of course there's the end-of-project Show which takes place each Friday - an opportunity to showcase all the goings-on over the course of the week to family and friends.
The project will run over 2 weeks from 18th - 29th July 2011, with 3 age groups each
week : 5-7 yrs, 7-8 yrs and 9-12 yrs. Each project session runs from 10am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday.
Group sizes are limited to 20, and there'll be 3 different age Groups : therefore there'll be a maximum of 60 young people attending the project each week. It's a quality, not quantity philosophy!
It promises to be action-packed! The project was fully booked out last year, so we'd advise you to enroll early to avoid disappointment. See our Programme page for full details on what's in store.
